Carol Ann (preferably not Carol) is a designer, artist and creative consultant. She's a former program coordinator for a not-for-profit cultural arts organization and currently the lead organizer for the Toronto Chapter of Ladies, Wine and Design.
She is currently based in Tkaronto, Turtle Island, what is now known as Toronto, Canada. The place where she is able play, work, and live is situated upon traditional ancestral lands part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. She acknowledges the “Dish With One Spoon Wampum” treaty; an agreement between the Confederacy of the Ojibwe and the Iroqouis Confederacy and allied nations to peaceably share the resources of the Great Lakes region and to protect the land as well as the creatures we share it with. As a settler, she respectfully acknowledges the sacred territorial land as well as the original caretakers of the land: Anishinaabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Petun, Seneca and Huron-Wendat, the Métis Nation, the Mississaugas of the Credit River, and the peoples unrecorded and unacknowledged.
